Wonderful Wednesday! Happy Happy Thanksgiving!!

    Just a quick note.... The students watched Pinocchio today as a surprise!! They were so happy!!! Also, we did a Thanksgiving craft this afternoon!!

Terrific Tuesday... Part & Total, Bead Retelling....

Hi all,

    In math today, the students went shopping for two items (part) and had to figure out the total.... We practiced some regrouping too!!

    In reading today, I did one of my favorite lessons... the story of the first thanksgiving using beads!! Each student made their own bead bracelet... Please have the students tell you the story of the first thanksgiving using their beads!!! They really enjoyed this lesson!!! I also read the story...

Rainy Monday... Estimate, disguise a turkey, Science...

Hi All,

   In math today, the students practiced shopping while estimating.... Tonight the students have one page of math homework.... Today, I showed the students a website called web math minute.... Here they may practice their math facts.  Below is the link!  Tomorrow we have our math minute test! :)


   In reading today, I read the story,  and the students wrote a readers response that started "I am thankful for _______"  Take a look at some of our students responses...


   In writing, students completed their stories about how to disguise a turkey...

In Science, the students took their changes assessment... Our next unit is Soils!!!

Fantastic Friday! Stamford Arboretum, Book Buddies!

Hi All,

   This morning we went to the Stamford Arboretum to explore all different kinds of trees, seeds, and nature.... Take a look at the students investigating!! What a great day!
