    Today is readers workshop we talked about reasons for selecting books...

Example: Because I am interested in the topic, It is just right... etc

Hi All,

    Today in Readers Workshop we talked about how illustrations help us understand the story....

Here's an illustration of Miss Viola Swamp!!!!

The Substitute Teacher in the book Miss Nelson is Missing!!!

You can tell by her face that Miss Viola Swamp is not so friendly!!! :(

But illustrations in fiction stories help us visualize feelings and a better understanding of the text.

Today we had a pep rally!!!! Our staff modeled behaviors.... that was not appropriate in school!!

Oh no!! Standing on chairs?!?!?! Not doing the right thing??

Talking and fooling around??

Running away!?!?!

Moving chairs?  OH  NO!!!

The teachers did a great job modeling behavior that is not acceptable in the classroom.... Our students understand the right thing to do!!! What an amazing pep rally modeling and acting out!!! Kudos to the Springdale Staff!! :)

Also, friends shared their ME BAGS :)
