Happy Friday!!! Tall tales... and MORE!

   Just a quick note, in Literacy we have been learning about Tall tales... A tall tale is an exaggerated story.... Ask your child to explain a tall tale to you.... We used the example of a whopper and a hamburger!!!

We said that a hamburger doesn't have much stuff in it... It's a plain beef and a bun...

A whopper has more things in it... Beef, Lettuce, mayo, ketchup, tomatoes, pickles, beef....

A hamburger is like a regular fiction story.... Beginning, Middle, End

But, a whopper... is an exaggerated hamburger with all the "stuff" inside...

A reminder.... please make sure your child is returning their pink homework form on Fridays...

And your child is reading at least 20 minutes each night!!

Wonderful Wednesday!! Math Partners and more!

Hi All,

   Today we worked on working in partners for a math game!!!  Take a look!
The students worked with a partner and had to guess which number the other student was thinking of.... the pennies helped the students during the game...

What a great day!!

Tomorrow is a BLUE Day... 

Please don't forget to read every night for at least 20 minutes :)
