Wonderful Wednesday... Math Polygons... Open Response...

Hi All,

   Today we practiced for our open response for our UNIT 5 test...

The students had to draw 2 polygons... and one NON Polygon... 

And they had to prove what they did.... "I know that this shape is NOT a polygon because it has space and no straight lines... "

That is an example of a NON polygon... 

Tonight I have assigned one page of math homework (practice open response)...

    Today we did a soil observation and recorded what humus felt like... take a look!!

Also, please be reminded that there is no school on Monday in observation of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.... :)

Welcome back and happy new year! Non fiction and biographies!

Hi All,

   Welcome back and happy new year!!!

We have started our non fiction biography unit... your child has selected a famous leader they would like to research.... 

I have attached the letters for this unit that explain how everything will work.... 

We will be doing a poster AT SCHOOL.... 

The at home project is due Feb 22.... 

Homework is due when your child has finished.... 

Your child may research their famous leader at home... and bring in any artifacts they wish to help them with their research... :)

Tonight I have assigned one page of reading and math homework...
