Marvelous Monday.... Bead Retelling Thanksgiving...

Hi all,

   Today we read the story...........

We talked about how hard it was for the Pilgrims to survive.... Throughout the seasons... but, also how thankful they were after all the sacrifices they made to survive.... We used beads to retell the story of the first thanksgiving.... 

1 Brown bead= Mayflower

3 Blue Beads= Long Journey Across the Ocean

1 Green Bead= Land

3 White= Long Cold Winter

1 orange bead- Pumpkins the Indians helped the Pilgrims Plant

1 Yellow- Corn the Indians helped the Pilgrims Plant

2 Brown Beads= Turkey and Deer the Indians taught the Pilgrims to hunt.

1 Red= Love and Appreciation on Thanksgiving Day

Please ask your child to retell you the story of Thanksgiving using their bead bracelet.

I have assigned one page of reading homework tonight!!
