Happy Monday! DonorsChoose, Important part, publishing non fiction, review math unit 5...

Hi All,

Today in math, we reviewed for our upcoming unit 5 test....   I have sent home one page of homework for math... and one page for reading tonight...

In reading today, we practiced identifying an important part and why it was important.... Students practiced writing "The most important part was ____ because ____" Students have to give evidence and explain why it is an important part...

In writing today, the students started the publishing process.... They worked on their headings, numbering pages, and cover page....

Quick Note, I have posted a project called "Personal Space, we all need it" on DonorsChoose.
I'm looking for a new rug in our room. This rug would have separate squares for use student to sit in.
http://www.lakeshorelearning.com/product/productDet.jsp   That link is a picture of the rug I have requested.....

It will definitely help with personal space in the carpet!  Below is the link for donations....

If you give to my classroom by January 18, 2015 and your donation will be doubled thanks to DonorsChoose.org. Just enter the code SPARK on the payment page and you'll be matched dollar for dollar (up to $100).

If you chip in to help my students, you'll get awesome photos and our heartfelt thanks.
P.S. If you know anyone who may want to help my classroom, please pass this along!

If the project gets funded our room will have a new "personal space" rug!!!  Fingers crossed.... :)

Thanks so much!
Until tomorrow!
