Wonderful Wednesday! The One... Springdale Sprint... Math Fact Families...

Hi All,

Today we read a story called The One.  This story sends a powerful message about "taking a stand" for people in your life.  And to always make sure your voice is heard.  Students really loved this story and filled out their own response "_______ made a difference in my life because ____'' and also, "I will make a difference in the life of someone by_____"

The story is really about making sure everyone "counts".... And not making anyone feel left out.... The number 1 took a stand for the color "blue" because the color red was not being nice... And everyone was scared of the color red.... Until the number "1" took a stand!!!

Horray for great weather and the Springdale Sprint!!!!

Take a look at some photos!! :)

For math homework, students are to cut out fact family triangles and practice at home.... They may keep these triangles at home for practice :)

A math fact family consists of 3 numbers.  For instance, this fact family has the numbers 3,4,7.
3+4=7
4+3=7
7-3=4
7-4=3

Those are all the combinations of a fact family.....

Until tomorrow,
Best,
Miss Ignatiadis
