WOW! What a great readers!

Hi Parents!!!

    I just wanted to quickly share some things.... Today, in reading, our objective was

"Good readers use background knowledge and details in

illustrations to deepen understanding of text."

The students shared their thoughts and readers responses today.... Here are some pictures to show students work...

In this picture the student said, "the illustration shows that this child is very worried/sad because his friends are not being nice to him."

In this photo, the student shared that "this illustration shows that Jack is excited because he found a snake."

In this photo Ryan said, "In this illustration, Junie B Jones is happy because it is her field day"

And, Nicole wrote her response to the illustration in her reader's response notebook!
What great and enthusiastic readers!! So proud of them!!!

Tonight, I have sent home one page of math homework.
