What a Friday!! In Reader's Workshop, "Good Readers know that illustrations are an important part of the story." Students explored how illustrations give us information and are important. In our community sharing circle, students shared their thoughts.
In writer's workshop, our objective was "good writer's use illustrations to develop an idea for a story." Camilo wrote about a dream he had about a skyscraper and he used the illustration he drew to help develop his idea for a story.
I have smart cookies in room 114! They are so eager to develop their own stories, write their own reader's response, and talk about their ideas!
Kudos to Camilo for being on "PAW" fect pink today!!! These kids are really working hard!!
