Thank you all for coming to Open House last night... It was so nice to see all of you!!! If you did not have a chance to attend, I put an "Open House" packet in your child's homework folder... I hope that helps... (it includes the PowerPoint presentation as well)...
Today in reading, we talked about the author's message... I read the story "Rufus Goes to School" and the students said, "The author's message is to NEVER GIVE UP!"
They had a chance to do this skill independently and write a response in their reader's notebook... Take a look!
Celeste said the authors message don't make a mess!
Malaki said the author's message was not to steal things!
Nakiyah said the authors message was never to talk to strangers!
In writing, students met with their partners to help them revise their writing.... Take a look at these partners working quietly....
