In Math today, we talked about weighing items in ounces and in pounds... We predicted which objects were heavier.... An eraser was heavier than a paper clip... and they were both ounces.... Also, we talked about how a book was the heaviest because it had so many pages in it... and paper weighs a lot!
In Reading today, we talked about problem and solution in stories we read.... We learned that in the story TOO MANY TAMALES, the problem was that Maria lost her mother's ring and the solution was when her mother had it on her finger the whole time!!!
Jonathan said the problem was Jack and Annie could not find out who the "M" person was... and the solution was "keep trying!"
Yomara said the problem was that Junie B Jones was spying on her teacher.... The solution was that the teacher forgave her and said, "It's okay... but please do not do it again."
In Writing today, we continued revising/editing our drafts... and believe it or not... it's almost time to publish our stories! Take a look at these hard working cookies!!
What a great day!! Kudos to all the students hard work!
Tonight the students have one page of math and one page of reading homework!
