Friday Fun Day! Math Stations, Using an attribute Chart, Halloween Stories, Book Buddies w/Mrs. Mazzo!

Hi All,

   Happy Happy Friday!!! In Math today, we took our Unit 2 test....

        In reading, the students practiced using an attribute chart to write down characters, language, connections, theme.... With a partner students were focused and helping one another.

     In writing, we finished our Halloween drafts and next week we will be publishing our stories!!! So excited to have such excited writers in Room 114!!! 



    We also are fortunate this year to do book buddies with Mrs. Mazzo's 4th grade class.... Today, we had the opportunity to be part of their writing celebration!!! We intend on doing book buddies every Friday for the rest of the year!!! A special thanks to Mrs. Mazzo for opening her room to our second graders! :)  Mrs. Mazzo also has a teacher website!!  http://mrsmazzo204.wordpress.com/

   What a busy and productive week!!! Next week we will continue publishing our Halloween stories, start unit 3 for math, and practice strategies in retelling during reader's workshop....
